The purpose of this contract is to inspect, test and maintain all Fire Protection Systems (automatic fire detection and fire extinguishing systems such as water sprinkler systems, flood systems, foam systems, gas fire extinguishing systems etc.) and Fire Fighting Equipment (fire extinguishers, foam generator device for extinguishing fires, fire hoses etc.) to ensure their effectiveness in automatically detecting and extinguishing fires at all EWA facilities, thus protecting employees and property.  
 
The purpose of this contract is to inspect, select and maintain all fire protection systems (fire detection and fighting systems) (water sprinkler, foam fire extinguishing systems, gas fire extinguishing systems, etc.) and fire fighting tools (fire extinguishers, foam generators, fire hoses, etc.) and to keep them in good working condition in all buildings and facilities of the Authority.  
 
 
1. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
The bidder must submit/fulfill the mandatory documents/conditions specified below along with his/her bid, otherwise the bid will be disqualified at the evaluation stage.

The seller must submit a “Fire Protection Systems Installation and Maintenance permit” from the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sellers must include the following documents and a resume with their qualifications in their offer:
-Project Coordinator (1No.)
-Site Engineer (2 units)
-Diplomatized technicians (8 pieces)

Participating suppliers are required to participate in site survey to understand different fire protection systems and consider the safety requirements of team members working in high electrical risk areas such as 220KV and 400KV substations.

Seller Experience:
The seller must have at least 5 years of experience in programming, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing and commissioning fire protection systems.

How to Join?

  • Those who are entitled and wish to participate in the above tender must purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal at https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh from Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
  • Bidders are requested to include Initial Margin in their bids in the amount mentioned above or 1% of the bid price, whichever is less, but the value of initial margin cannot be less than BD 100/-. (Except for two-envelope bids).
  • In case of two-envelope bids, bidders are requested to include Initial Margin in the above mentioned amount with their bids.
  • The initial security must be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the period specified above.

  • This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law and its amendments issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 dated 2002 and the Implementation Regulation issued by the Legislative Decree No. 37 dated 2002.
  • The following conditions should also be taken into account:
    • Attach a copy of the valid Trade Registry Certificate (TİS) appropriate for the work subject to the tender.
    • Attach a valid copy of the certificate of eligibility for employment rates for Bahraini labor force (Bahrainisation Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labor.
  • This announcement is considered as an annex to the tender documents. In case of any inconsistency between the announcement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document shall prevail.
  • Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises are entitled to receive a 10% preference at the financial evaluation stage when they submit an "SME Classification Certificate" when bidding for this tender. The certificate is issued to SMEs by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and can be obtained by applying to the SME Registration System, which can be accessed from the following link: https://www.moic.gov.bh/en/eServices/sme
