More Details	Document Type: Contract Notification Title: Zaghloul El Bahary Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Construction, Design and Build, Defects Liability Year and Optional One (1) Year Operation and Maintenance Reference Number: EIB-GtP/KSWEP-P2-WT-01/H.M1.15 Contract Type: Works Estimated Value: 23,000,000 - EUR Description: The works to be executed under this works contract cover the permanent works (plants and systems) related to the new Zaghoul El Bahary WWTP (15,000 m3/d, 2037 - 25,000 m3/d, 2052) to be designed, constructed and commissioned in Motobas Zone, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate; the effective rectification of any defects during the 1 year Defects Liability Period; and optional 1 year normal operation and maintenance works for the WWTP. The Contract also includes the provision of training services to the Procuring Entity’s personnel duly completed within the Defects Liability Period or Optional 1 Year O&M Period and prior to the handover of the Works. Some minor works of the Plant have been carried out by another Contractor at an earlier stage. Although not part of the Works, the Contractor shall be aware of his obligations towards these Existing Works as defined in the Contract Documents. The average design capacity is 15,000 m3/day (6,000 kg BOD5/day) with a design horizon of 2037 (extended to 25,000 m3/day, 2052). The Plant will receive influent wastewater from in-system pumping stations and the treated wastewater will be discharged to the Zaghloul Main Drain. The process involves Extended Aeration Activated Sludge and will target the removal of carbon, nitrogen and suspended solids and sludge stabilization.
